The Episcopal Church

Take a look at our information about the Episcopal Church on our page about the Diocese of Maryland and the Episcopal Church. You can also find more information about the Church on the Episcopal Church website. If you are interested in learning about the Church in a more personal setting, St. Peter’s offers Inquirer’s Classes periodically. These forums serve as a basic introduction to the Episcopal Church and the Anglican way. In addition, Father Tom also welcomes informal conversations about our church any time.
If you are interested in joining the Episcopal Church, please contact our rector, Father Tom Slawson. Classes are offered periodically, followed by baptism, confirmation, and/or reception by the Bishop of our diocese. Father Tom would be happy to discuss all of this with you.

All are welcome at St. Peter’s and the Episcopal Church regardless of current or previous affiliation. The celebration of the Holy Eucharist is the way we worship week by week. All who follow Christ are invited to gather at the altar to share in the sacrament of our Lord’s Body and Blood and to share in the activities of the community. For those who seek a more lasting affiliation, formal membership in the Episcopal is recognized by the sacrament of Baptism and/or Confirmation.
