The Parish Discretionary Fund is a Designated Fund which may be used only by the Rector, and only for the purpose of providing assistance to people in need. It is funded by specified donations and by loose monies (bills and change) in the offertory plate, and is used by our clergy to address unexpected situations of need in our community or in our neighborhood. It might be a family that cannot pay the electrical bill, or someone who needs financial help for another reason. The money is spent at the Rector’s discretion.

To contribute to the Discretionary Fund, simply place cash in the offertory plate on the first Sunday of the month; or, you may place a check (to St. Peter’s, with memo line notated “Discretionary Fund”) in the offering plate at any time. Please contact our Sr. Warden (Jeff Glenn) of our Treasurer (John Francis, treasurer@stpetersec.org) with any additional questions you may have about this fund, or if you know of someone in need of emergency help.
