“For where two or three are gathered in my name, I am there among them.” (Matthew 18:20)
At St. Peter’s, we believe that the people are how we see the presence of God in the church. We are a diverse body, made up of clergy, staff, and a vibrant congregation drawn from all works of life. Members of our community are involved in a variety of ways, from simply attending Sunday worship to volunteering with parish outreach, to serving on the vestry, our lay governing body.
We are an intimate, pastoral-sized parish. After spending time here you will begin to recognize familiar faces with regularity. Those who call St. Peter’s home will say that they have come to know most people by name as well. The church itself sits about 125 people so that worship and liturgy is both expressive and immediate.
We are a welcoming, inclusive, and affirming community. All are welcome. In the radical hospitality of the Lord we follow, all means all. Come and see!
In addition to our regular members, we interact with countless others through our prayer list, support to and from our local community, and our membership in the larger Episcopal Church from within the Diocese of Maryland.
