PeteWe are bound together as followers of this faith, in our spiritual journeys and our celebration of life. We are an inclusive, intimate community, accepting and affirming of diversity, committed to loving our neighbors as ourselves, and respectful of the dignity of every human being.

Our desire to live lives of faith, through prayer, worship, and ministry is clarified in this Franciscan blessing, which you will hear often at St. Peter’s:

  • May God bless you with a restless discomfort at easy answers, half truths, and superficial relationship so that you may live deep within your heart.
  • May God bless you with holy anger at injustice, oppression and exploitation, so that you may work for justice, freedom, and peace.
  • May God bless you with tears to shed for those who suffer from pain, rejection, starvation and strife, so that you may reach out your hand to them and turn their pain into joy
  • May God bless you with enough foolishness to believe that you can make a difference in this world; so that you can do what others claim cannot be done.
