It’s impossible to forget those difficult days following the historic flood in Ellicott City last summer. It was a horrendous event that caused so much loss and destruction, and yet at the same time an opportunity to lend a hand, help our neighbors, and make a difference. We offered our facility as a safe/proximate base for county-directed emergency operations, and we provided all-day support and supplies to relief workers and folks from all over the area who pitched in. It was a normal humanitarian response to a natural disaster, but the Association of Community Services of Howard County has seen fit to recognize St. Peter’s Episcopal Church among the 5 organizations in the County honored for their flood recovery work in the 2017 ACS Audrey Robbins Collaboration Award !
The official press release for this award can be found here. Fr. Tom Slawson and Sr. Warden Jeff Glenn will represent St. Peter’s at the Audrey Robbins Award Luncheon in Clarksville, on April 5th.
