St. Peter’s at Ellicott Mills Welcomes You

Don’t let the Blizzard of the Century and cabin fever get to you. Here are some things to do on a snowy home-bound day to help with the feeling of confinement:

With Christ as our Guide,
St Peter’s Episcopal Church at Ellicott Mills
Is an Open and Supportive Community
That puts God’s Love into Action through
Service, Spiritual Growth and Joyful Celebration

If you do not worship here already, or worship with us infrequently, please include us in your prayers. Together, and with the Holy Spirit, we can make this house of God a haven for all who choose to worship here.

At St. Peter’s:

  • You can learn and grow in your relationship with God.
  • You can work for God.
  • You can have fun with God’s people!

Communion During H1N1 Flu Virus Outbreak
At the request of our Bishops, we are asking people NOT to take communion by intinction (having a Eucharistic Minister dip the wafer in the wine and place it in your mouth.)  As long as the behavior of this virus is unpredictable, putting hands into the Common Cup does not make sense.

It has long been the tradition of the church that Communion in one kind (just bread) is considered Full Communion. So, if you are uncomfortable drinking from the Common Cup for any reason, please understand why we have suspended the practice of intinction until further notice. This suspension will probably be in effect until we get through the next flu season in the fall.

To read the complete statement from the Bishops and their guidelines for church attendance, passing the peace and the Holy Eucharist, visit the Bishop’s N1H1 Flu Information Page.

Additional, helpful information about the H1N1 Flu can be found at:
