St. Peters at Ellicott Mills Welcomes You
Dont let the Blizzard of the Century and cabin fever get to you. Here are some things to do on a snowy home-bound day to help with the feeling of confinement:
Schedule of Services at St. PetersWhether you are new to this area, just visiting, or looking for a new church home, we are happy to have you worship with us. St. Peters Episcopal Church is located at 3695 Rogers Ave in Ellicott City, Maryland. To view a map of our location, click here. We welcome you to our services. We offer two worship services on Sunday morning, each with a distinctive style and setting. The Holy Eucharist is celebrated at all services and the Holy Eucharist is open to all baptized Christians.
St Peters uses all authorized Eucharistic Prayers and Rites throughout the different seasons of the Church Year. The Sacrament of Healing (laying on of hands and anointing) is offered at both services most Sundays. Prepare for Sunday by spending a little time with the Lectionary readings. The readings for each Sunday are available for your personal growth and devotion. Please join us after the 8:30 am service for coffee & fellowship. If you have any questions or are interested in further information about the church and its programs, please fill out the information form in the Visitor's Packet in the pew rack. Place it in the collection plate and we will get the information to you. Communion During H1N1 Flu Virus OutbreakAt the request of our Bishops, we are asking people NOT to take communion by intinction (having a Eucharistic Minister dip the wafer in the wine and place it in your mouth.) As long as the behavior of this virus is unpredictable, putting hands into the Common Cup does not make sense. It has long been the tradition of the church that Communion in one kind (just bread) is considered Full Communion. So, if you are uncomfortable drinking from the Common Cup for any reason, please understand why we have suspended the practice of intinction until further notice. This suspension will probably be in effect until we get through the next flu season in the fall. To read the complete statement from the Bishops and their guidelines for church attendance, passing the peace and the Holy Eucharist, visit the Bishops N1H1 Flu Information Page.
